Visitor Rules
These Visitor Rules are an integral part of the Terms and Conditions of Švanda Theatre in Smíchov, and they stipulate the conditions that the Buyer (hereafter referred to as the ‚audience member‘) must comply with in all areas of the theatre to which he has access based on the purchase of a ticket or for another reason. The audience member must respect the Visitor Rules in all areas of the theatre. By purchasing a ticket, the audience member agrees to the Terms and Conditions of Švanda Theatre in Smíchov and to these Visitor Rules, and undertakes to comply with them.
The Visitor Rules of Švanda Theatre in Smíchov are without prejudice to the audience member’s obligations arising from generally binding legal regulations, good manners, rules of politeness and decent behaviour, as well as obligations arising from organizational instructions.
- Every audience member entering the theatre must present a valid ticket. Audience members without a valid ticket will not be allowed to enter the auditorium. If they do not prove that they have a ticket, they will be asked to leave the theatre and, if they disobey, they will be escorted out. The ticket is valid exclusively for the specified day, hour, row and seat. Each audience member must have a separate ticket. A duplicate can be issued for lost tickets purchased at the box office and online. In this case, you must request a duplicate at the box office.
- The ticket is only valid unaltered, undamaged, complete, i.e. with a control slip, and it entitles buyers to one entry to the Main Hall or the Studio. Any tampering with the ticket shall invalidate it; the holder cannot be admitted to the auditorium with such a ticket. Forging a ticket is a crime. Tickets are checked by the auditorium staff.
- For the reason stated in § 1837, letter j) of the Civil Code, it is not possible to withdraw from the purchase of a ticket, because it is a contract for the use of free time and the show to which the ticket entitles the buyer (each show has a specified date).
- Tickets can be exchanged for another date of the same show or for a different show, but no later than 7 working days before the show. Method of exchanging tickets:
* if the original tickets were purchased at the box office - the exchange must be made in person at the box office – if the price of replacement tickets is higher, their value must be paid in cash or by card, otherwise we will not refund the price difference.
*Online at the theatre's website/E-ticket - you need to send an exchange request to info@webticket.cz (you must specify the date and name of the replacement show and insert the original tickets in the attachment) - tickets purchased online cannot be exchanged for tickets of a higher value; if the price is lower, we will not refund the difference.'
*For other vendors (Ticketportal) - the exchange must be made at the given vendor according to his conditions. - When a show is changed or cancelled, the audience member is governed by the provisions of the Terms and Conditions of Švanda Theatre.
- The right to change shows is reserved.
- The theatre building opens 30 minutes before the show starts, and entry to the auditorium is allowed 15 minutes before the show starts, unless otherwise determined by theatre operations in both cases.
- An audience member who arrives late, i.e. after the performance starts, cannot be seated in the auditorium. In the case of a show with an intermission, the audience member may be admitted to the hall during the intermission. In the event of a concert, the audience member can only be allowed into the hall between performances.
- The audience member must respect the instructions of the auditorium staff and other authorised persons of the theatre, and is obliged to comply with all written instructions published in the audience areas.
- Authorised employees of the theatre have the right to deny entry to persons under the influence of alcohol or narcotic and other psychotropic substances, with weapons, or accompanied by animals, the only exception being guide and assistance dogs for disabled persons. - For disabled spectators in wheelchairs who do not have the option of seating in the auditorium, two seats on the ground floor in the 2nd row on the left, one seat in the 3rd row on the left and one seat in the 1st row in the Studio are reserved in the Main Hall. This option for shows by guest groups and concerts may be limited depending on the nature of the performance. Seats must be reserved in advance at the theater box office, or the audience member shall not be let into the auditorium.
